Wedding season is in full swing and with that comes a lot of hidden costs. You have to pay for traveling, accommodations, what to wear, and then, of course, the gift for the newly weds. Luckily we found an article from brides.com that gives some tips on how to determine what to spend.
Their first tip is to do your research. If you are to do a Google search, you can find many different websites that can give you an average range of what you should spend on a gift. The next tip is to spend what you are comfortable with! You never should spend more than what you, or your bank account, can handle–after all, the bride and groom will be more happy with you being at the wedding than what you bought them. Lastly, you can rely on a cost tool. There are some websites out there that allow you to plug in the wedding location and your salary and give you an estimate of what you should spend; but be aware that it could be more than you are comfortable with!
