Our beautiful Poffie Bride, Amy, met the man of her dreams while attending her first year of law school at Campbell University’s campus in Raleigh. Joseph invited Amy to dinner for a “quick study break” and the rest is history. The two connected over the stress and pressures of law school, and still to this day enjoy relaxing dinners out after a busy week. They have been inseparable for the last six and half years and finally tied the knot in May of 2016.
Joseph proposed to Amy in the comfort of their own home with their two little cats named Franklin and Bash. Amy described it as absolutely “perfect”. On May 7th, 2016 at Fearrington Village in Pittsboro, NC, Joseph and Amy, surrounded by friends and family, said their “I Do’s”. Amy’s life had come “full circle” that day as she grew up visiting Fearrington Village with her parents to have lunch, and returned there for her wedding years later.
Amy walked down the aisle and danced the night away in a fit and flare Maggie Sottero wedding dress. The “Brandy” dress features beaded straps with “sparkle” and lace. Amy chose to pair this gown with a stunning pearl and crystal veil. After the ceremony, the couple shared their first dance to #40 by Dave Matthews Band. Amy’s advice to be for future brides is:
“It feels like a lot of pressure sometimes spending a year or sometimes more planning the perfect day –especially if you’re afraid something might go wrong! But it’s helpful to remember that even if something does go wrong, people either won’t notice (because they won’t know one way or the other), or they’ll think it’s funny and you can all have a good and much needed laugh.”
The two honeymooned in Kiawah Island in South Carolina at the Andell Inn, and said it was the perfect getaway after their wedding!!
We are so happy for you Joseph and Amy! Congratulations!!!
