After working together for three years as youth directors, Allison and Aaron went on their first date. A year later, Aaron took Allison up to Linville Gorge. They strayed off the path to take in the mountainous landscape on Wise Man’s View. While she was lost in the beauty, Aaron got down on one knee and asked her to spend forever with him.
One that Perfect day, she said YES.
Their wedding took place the following July at First Presbyterian Church in Gastonia, NC, the same perfect place where Allison’s parents had wed thirty-six years earlier. Allison and Aaron were married by four reverends, all of whom are especially close to their hearts and had impacted their lives.
Our perfect Poffie bride was escorted down the aisle wearing an A-line Essense of Australia gown adorned with lace over royal organza, illusion sleeves, and a dramatic butterfly back. She completed her look by wearing her mother’s veil. After the ceremony, the bride and groom headed over to the Schiele Museum of Natural History to celebrate their newly recited vows with friends and family. For their first dance as a married couple, they swayed to Ellie Goulding’s “How Long I Will Love You”, the Perfect Song.
Dreaming of the tropics, the new Mr. and Mrs. set off to the Sandals Resort in Halcyon Beach, St. Lucia for a few days of tranquility and romance, the Perfect Trip.
For date night, Allison and Aaron enjoy going to the movies, camping, and spontaneous adventures.
Allison’s advice to brides to be is to make sure you have what you want at your wedding because it is your day, and to remember question what is really important, the wedding or the marriage? For grooms to be, she says to enjoy the wedding planning process, and don’t be afraid to ask for what you want.
Everyone at Poffie Girls wishes you years of perfection!

“Match Made on the Internet”
After soul searching for quite some time, the two singles decided to give online dating a go with some added encouragement from friends.
Gina and Justin met for their first date in August 2013. Gina was so nervous, but they both found themselves reluctant to leave their all too fast lunch. That day something special started. Little did Gina know, three years later they would return to the same restaurant for another lunch date. This lunch, however, would end with one GIANT question. As soon as their table was cleared, and the bill paid, Justin stood up and said “one more thing…” as he dropped down to one knee and asked Gina to be his wife. Without a doubt in the world, she said “YES”!
Gine later reflected on the disbelief that she found her forever person online. On October 20th, 2017, Gina and Justin shared their “I Do’s” at the beautiful Alexander Homestead in Charlotte, NC. Gina sashayed down the aisle in an exquisite Kitty Chen Couture sheath gown from Poffie Girls, adorned with deco sequins and paired with a simple fingertip ivory ribbon trimmed veil to let the gown shine.. Later that evening, the couple shared their first dance to Jessie James Decker’s “I Do”. To kick off their marriage, the newlyweds journeyed to St. Lucia at Calabash Cove Resort and Spa.
Congratulations Gina and Justin! All of us at Poffie Girls think you were a Poffie Perfect Match!
Love at first photo snap? For Hannah, Poffie Girls’ bride and now wife of racetrack official Justin, the not-so-secret photo of her future husband was where it all began. This photo sparked a quick conversation and an invitation to dinner for a first date. As we now know, the rest is history. Justin followed the “photo-op” theme when he popped the question with Hannah’s two best friends recording the special moment. Hannah said “YES!” among friends and family on the beaches of North Myrtle in South Carolina, right outside of the Apache Campground. Returning to the place of their engagement, Hannah and Justin tied the knot on August 12th, 2017 at the Apache Pier in North Myrtle Beach.
Kellyn and Jon’s story is a tale of two Nittany Lions. The couple met at Penn State when they were both in the Masters of Accounting Program. They both started their accounting careers in Pittsburg before moving to Charlotte in May of 2016.
After five years of dating, Jon finally popped the big question at Romare Bearden Park. They were walking around uptown, when Jon stopped in front of the water fountain and got down on one knee. After Kellyn said yes, her three best friends came around the corner and surprised her. They all celebrated the big engagement that night in uptown Charlotte. Kellyn has said that she knows Jon is her soulmate because he is her best friend and has always been very supportive of her.
On September 2nd, 2017, the pair headed back up to Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania for the big day. They had their first dance as husband and wife to Kip Moore’s “Hey Pretty Girl”. Kellyn wore Maggie Sottero’s timeless “Winstyn” gown. This sweetheart fit and flare gown featured a dreamy lace and tulle combination that effortlessly dripped down the train. Kellyn chose to go with the light gold version of this gown, which added a touch of vintage romance and drama. She paired a hand beaded crystal Kitty Chen belt and scalloped lace veil for the perfect icing on the cake.
As for her favorite aspect of the wedding day, Kellyn said it was listening to Jon read the vows he wrote. Of course, she loved celebrating their marriage surrounded by friends and family at the reception as well. One unique detail that the couple tied into the big day was having the Penn State Nittany Lion mascot show up at the reception. He greeted the guests during cocktail hour, and was present for pictures as well.
Kellyn, you looked absolutely stunning! We are so happy to of been a part of the big day. It is a pleasure sharing your story!!
