Kelley and John both attended the same college but never once bumped heads. They later met at a mutual friends wedding (how coincidental!!) After 2 years of long distance, John popped the question after decorating Kelley’s apartment with rose petals and champagne.
Their BIG day was on November 12th, 2016 at First United Methodist Church of Gastonia, NC. The reception was held at Gaston Country Club. Kelley said her I do’s in a delicate ivory lace Stella York gown. Her fingertip lace veil complimented her shape beautifully.
We asked Kelley what her favorite aspect of her wedding day was and she said “even though the church was crowded with all of our family and friends, it felt like it was just John and I alone with God. It was very special saying those vows to each other.” Her advice to brides-to-be is to “enjoy every minute of your wedding day” and to hire a day-of coordinator. For grooms-to-be she says “don’t sweat the small stuff and just say ‘yes’ ”
After the whirlwind of the wedding settled down, the newlyweds honeymooned in Riviera Maya, Mexico. You can now find them in their new home in Belmont hanging out with friends and family, or at their favorite date night place- Sushi 101.
Congrats to Kelley and John!
