Quinceañera

The quinceañera dress is the young woman’s first formal adult attire. The quinceañera dress signals that the young woman is moving from girlhood to her new status as señorita and is available for marriage. Because it is formal, the dress indicates the coming-of-age of the celebrant and is therefore a critical element in the celebration.

Debutante

Steeped in tradition, a debutante ball is an event where a young woman is formally introduced into society. Similar to the quinceanara, the dress is a large part of the celebration. Traditionally, a debutante wears a white gown with gloves.
