Upon your arrival at our 1917 plantation home, we will surround you with romance, sophistication and elegance. Walk into our grand foyer and your personal Bridal Consultant will greet you. Your Consultant will be with you through your entire experience – assisting you in choosing your ultimate gown and finding the perfect compliment in Bridal Party attire.

Poffie Girls is recognized for the special attention given to each customer. Whether you are here to choose your bridal gown, bridesmaid gowns or your prom gown, each consultant will share their knowledge and expertise until you are in the perfect gown.

Our consultants use their personal experience and vast knowledge in finding the perfect gown or special occasion dress. These extraordinary employees work together to make Poffie Girls a family. When you enter or historic plantation home you become a part of our daily lives and a part of our Poffie Girls family.

Staff Bios

Syble:  Store owner  Married to Bob Latta, they reside in Gastonia, NC and is the proud mother of two and grandmother of seven.  Syble has been dressing brides since 1969.

Pam:  The original Poffie  Girl  Pam serves as the stores Human Resources Manager.  Pam lives in Belmont, NC she has one daughter and three step-children. 

Mireya: Sales Consultant  Mireya lives in Gastonia, NC with her husband. They have one daughter in college and two dogs.    Mireya, who joined us in 2010, is bi-lingual and can help with our Spanish speaking clients.

Elaine: Assistant Manager  Elaine joined Poffie Girls in 1998 and lives in Gastonia with her husband. They proudly have two children and two grandchildren.

Bethe:  Administrative Assistant Bethe is also owner of Bliss Events, a wedding planning and event company.  She joined Poffie Girls in 2008.

Catalina: Sales Consultant Catalina is currently a freshman at Gaston College but has joined us part time in 2011

Vicki: Store Manager Vicki lives in York, SC.  She is mom to three children and grandmother to six grandchildren.  She has been helping brides find the dress of their dreams at Poffie Girls since 1996.

Sara: Sales Consultant Sara has been with Poffie Girls since 2008.  She lives in Gastonia with her husband and her Westie, Molly.  Sara is the proud mother of two children and three grandchildren.

Vangie:  Sales Consultant  Vangie, who has been with us since 2010 is married with four children. Vangie is also bi-ligual and can speak Greek.

 Maria: Seamstress.  Maria and her husband live in Gastonia, NC and have two children . Joined Poffie Girls in 2007.
