Brides Across America plays a role in making their dreams come true by giving a military bride a free wedding gown during a Brides Across America’s Nationwide Gown Giveaway. Deployments, financial hardships, and other challenges unique to servicemen and women can make it difficult to plan a wedding. Bride’s Name: Alicia Sarratt Rollins
Date of Wedding: October 24, 2015
Wedding Venue: Ceremony: Mt. Sinai Baptist Church Reception: The City Pavilion, Shelby NC
How they met: We went to middle school and high school together, we were always really good friends, but reconnected a few years after graduation and fell in love.
Wedding colors: Blush and Merlot
Favorite wedding memory: Our wedding vows. We decided to write our own vows and I would not change anything about it! They were so heartfelt and personal and there was not a dry eye in the whole church. It was the sweetest thing. I also had so much fun at our reception, we were able to relax, dance, have fun, and just enjoy our time with our family and friends.
Why you chose to shop at Poffie Girls: I bought my debutante dress at Poffie Girls, and everyone was fabulous then. I thought I had my made up on a Maggie Sottero dress, completely plain with no embellishment. Bailey could tell right off that a plain dress just did not match my personality. She found me a Justin Alexander dress that was full of bling and pearls and I completely fell in love! The whole experience was perfect!
